5-8 Mesh-Sodium Saccharin
Sodium saccharin is a white, odorless, and intensely sweet granular or crystalline powder. It is primarily an artificial sweetener and approximately 500 times as sweet as sucrose (regular sugar). Sodium saccharin is most commonly used as a food additive to sweeten products such as candies, vitamins, salad dressings, gum, table sweeteners, jam, canned fruit, drinks, medicines, toothpaste and much more. It is also used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and electroplating industries as a nickel plating brightener.
Sodium saccharin should be stored in a cool, dry place at all times in a tightly sealed container. This material can be combustible at high temperatures, so it is critical to ensure that it is kept away from extreme heat, sources of ignition and any oxidizing agents. Sodium saccharin should also be at ground level at all times in order to prevent spills or open exposure. It should always be stored in a well-ventilated facility.
